The Grand Wailea Resort shares a very nice beach with the Four Seasons Resort Maui. The resort is now part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection and the resort’s 780 rooms were renovated in 2009. The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua was built in 1990 and was closed for 6 months in 2007 for a full $180 million renovation. The resort has 463 rooms and suites and is located on two golf courses (the Bay and Plantation which host a PGA event every year) and guests receive a discount and preferred tee times.

The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa was built in 1963 on Black Rock. The resort is on a great stretch of Kaanapali Beach and snorkeling is available off the beach. The rooms were renovated in 2007 and they look great. The Deluxe Rooms are slightly larger than the Standard Rooms and 80 percent offer an ocean view. The resort has a nice pool area and great beach. The resort is located in the middle of the beach walk next to the upscale shops and restaurants of Whaler’s Village. The resort has an awesome beach and pool area with multiple slides and waterfalls. I was very impressed with Beaches Negril Resort & Spa. It is located on a beautiful stretch of white sand on Seven Mile Beach in Jamaica.
