The Grand Wailea Resort shares a very nice beach with the Four Seasons Resort Maui. The resort is now part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection and the resort’s 780 rooms were renovated in 2009. The rooms are very similar with the exception of the view. The rooms are all 640 square feet with nice bathrooms and plasma televisions. (more…)

The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua was built in 1990 and was closed for 6 months in 2007 for a full $180 million renovation. The resort has 463 rooms and suites and is located on two golf courses (the Bay and Plantation which host a PGA event every year) and guests receive a discount and preferred tee times.
The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas are on a great stretch of North Kaanapali Beach. Starwood offers a free shuttle between its properties, which could be used to get to Whaler’s Village. The South Tower was built in 2003 and the North Tower was completed in 2007. There are 1021 units at this resort. (more…)

The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa was built in 1963 on Black Rock. The resort is on a great stretch of Kaanapali Beach and snorkeling is available off the beach. The rooms were renovated in 2007 and they look great. The Deluxe Rooms are slightly larger than the Standard Rooms and 80 percent offer an ocean view. The resort has a nice pool area and great beach. WOW!!! Was my first impression when I was greeted in the open air lobby of the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui, with a beautiful fresh orchid lei. The stunning open air lobby, filled with colorful flowers and amazing sculptures overlooking the deep blue Pacific was an awesome sight.
