I just returned from a 4 day stay at Secrets Maroma Beach, and am pleased to report that this resort in Riviera Maya is as good as it gets. The guests’ ages ranged from early 20’s to 70’s. Singles as well as couples will find much to enjoy. None of the restaurants require advance reservations, except for the Hibachi dinner, which was a fun experience, and highly recommended. (more…)

The Landings is a 4-star villa resort located in the Rodney Bay area of St Lucia. While on a travel agent familiarization trip with the St Lucia Tourist Board, this Rock Resort was our home away from home for 3 nights. Set on the beach and on a marina, each of these 2-3 bedroom villas have a harbor or ocean view. My Vacation Lady’s 3 bedroom villa was in building 4 and had a harbor view from the huge furnished balcony, complete with Jacuzzi. (more…)

Ocean Blue & Sand in Punta Cana is an excellent value for your money, I give it a 3 1/2 to 4 stars! When you arrive at the resort, the bell hop will take your luggage and give you a claim check. The Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas is located near the action in Cabo san Lucas, on a nice swimming beach. The Riu Palace has 642 Junior Suites of which most are ocean view or higher. The resort is symmetrical with two large pools with swim up pool bars. (more…)

The Grand Wailea Resort shares a very nice beach with the Four Seasons Resort Maui. The resort is now part of the Waldorf Astoria Collection and the resort’s 780 rooms were renovated in 2009. The rooms are very similar with the exception of the view. The rooms are all 640 square feet with nice bathrooms and plasma televisions. (more…)

The Four Seasons Resort Maui is located on a nice beach that is shared with the Grand Wailea Resort, 30 minutes from the airport. The resort is amazing and is the only AAA 5 Diamond resort on Maui. There are 377 rooms and suites and three pools (main, adults-only, and kiddie). (more…)

I like the Occidental Grand Aruba. The lobby area is very modern with marble floors and contemporary fountains. There are several shops in the lobby as well as the guest services desk (same place where you would make dinner reservations), a tour desk, the lobby bar (with nightly live entertainment), and the entrance to the casino.
