The San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino is located on a nice beach in the heart of San Juan, Puerto Rico, just 10 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from Old San Juan. The resort was completely renovated in November 2008 and now received the AAA 4 Diamond Award. (more…)

Overall I really enjoyed my stay at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort. It is a property that I will be very specific in whom I recommend it to. I visited this property during a travel agent familiarization for Aubree’s Travel. The Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort & Private Island is a smaller Sandals property that I really like. I think the rooms are very nice, the grounds amazingly well kept, and the off-shore island is a HUGE perk. I really like the “British Colonial” feel of this property. (more…)

I just got back from the newly branded Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana. My thoughts are this…….very big (1700+ rooms) but plays much smaller, giving you the feel that the resort is not crowded at all. We were there when they were at 100% and you would never know it. I recently returned from Jamaica with the Jamaica Tourist Board & was able to see Secrets St. James Montego Bay & Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay. Both are very similar with just a difference in theme. Secrets St. James is more of a British Colonial type with earthy colors, while Secrets Wild Orchid has more of an Oriental Flare to it. (more…)

My family and I, 2 adults and 2 children (ages 10 and 2), stayed at Beaches Turks & Caicos on September 4-12, 2010. This was our 3rd visit to the property, but our first visit since the new Italian Village opened. It was truly one of the best vacations we have had in a long time. For the length of time we spent, we had not encountered any issues with service, food or accommodations. There was no shortage of activities or relaxation. (more…)

Secrets Wild Orchid and Secrets St James Montego Bay are beautiful resorts in a very scenic setting with the hills in the background. The resort sits on a private stretch of beach on the beautiful turquoise Caribbean Sea. Secrets Wild Orchid is closer to the restaurants and the bars and is much livelier while Secrets St James is about a 5 minute walk to the restaurants and is much quieter. (more…)

I just returned from the RIU Palace Tropical Bay in Negril, Jamaica where we spent 4 nights there on Aug 21-25. The front desk staff on arrival is excellent. We arrived too late for dinner reservations for the 1st 2 nights and āCloyd’ (like Floyd with a C) took it upon himself to get us reservations for the 1st two nights. I stayed at the Somerset on Grace Bay in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos July 15-18, 2010. The transfer from the airport to the hotel took about 20 minutes; upon arrival at the resort after a quick check-in I was given a tour of my one bedroom ocean view suite. I LOVE the Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. The resort is less than 20 minutes from the thatched roof of the Punta Cana Airport. The BodyHoliday at LeSPORT in St. Lucia is probably the most inclusive property I have experienced in recent times. Included in the stay are all meals, including the fabulous Asian fusion restaurant Tao, plus all of your drinks, including premium drinks and most wines. Everyone receives a spa treatment daily except for the days of arrival and departure. It is well worth your while to upgrade to the Royal Service at the Occidental Grand Punta Cana. The Royal Service area is a little oasis within a huge resort. The Royal Service section is a two story building with lovely rooms that surround a small swimming pool with fusion music piped in at a low decibel. It is not a pool for laps, but for a refreshing dip when you want to get off the lounge chair. (more…)

It is well worth your while to upgrade to the Royal Service at the Occidental Grand Punta Cana. The Royal Service area is a little oasis within a huge resort. The lovely rooms surround a small swimming pool with fusion music piped in at a low decibel. It is not a pool for laps, but for a refreshing dip when you want to get off the lounge chair. Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa is located on perhaps the best beach in Jamaica. This adults-only, ultra luxury resort is on a multi-acre nature preserve with an amazing, beautiful beach. Each room has an ocean view with either a balcony or patio. (more…)

If you love beautiful white beaches this place has the best! While staying at the Hilton Barbados, I had the opportunity to see a nest of turtles hatching and marching in single file to the Caribbean Sea! I recently visited the new Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana and was blown away by this resort. The various room options, the secluded feeling, the level of luxury were all top notch. I guarantee that any honeymoon couple or couple wanting a romantic get away will love this resort in the Dominican Republic. This resort is a one of a kind experience. (more…)

The Occidental Grand Punta Cana Resort is a well maintained and very nice family friendly resort. This is a very clean resort with well kept grounds. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. A friendly “Hola” greeting is offered from the gardener to the manager every time you meet someone. (more…)

I stayed for 4 nights in April with my husband at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro in the Dominican Republic. This resort is top notch! The grounds are really pretty with a water theme. They even have an area with flamingos. (more…)

I just returned from an amazing, long weekend at the Atlantis. Four days is not enough to do everything and relax. This is an incredible hotel with rooms to fit any budget and taste. If you’re the couple who likes to stay active on an island escape, this is the place for you! I’ve stayed at several Couples Resorts and have to say that the Couples Tower Isle in Jamaica is one of my favorites! The property was recently renovated and they did a wonderful job.
