The Landings is a 4-star villa resort located in the Rodney Bay area of St Lucia. While on a travel agent familiarization trip with the St Lucia Tourist Board, this Rock Resort was our home away from home for 3 nights. Set on the beach and on a marina, each of these 2-3 bedroom villas have a harbor or ocean view. My Vacation Lady’s 3 bedroom villa was in building 4 and had a harbor view from the huge furnished balcony, complete with Jacuzzi. (more…)
Colesville Travel invites you to visit Grotto Bay Resort and Spa in Bermuda. This resort (named after its subterranean caves) is lushly planted with tropical fruit trees. The beach is narrow, however, the nearby coastline is enchanting, with many natural caves and intimate coves. From the seaside, the airy public areas look very modern with big windows, thick white walls, and three peaked roofs with curved eaves.
I traveled with my husband and my 6 yr. old son and stayed at the Divi Aruba Phoenix. This was their first time there, but my second. I wanted a big room with a separate bedroom and I knew the Divi Aruba Phoenix could accommodate this. I recently stayed at the Verdanza Hotel San Juan in Puerto Rico. Thinking that because of the great price, the hotel might not be as nice as advertised, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the hotel. We needed a hotel near the airport for a short overnight, so we decided to take a chance.
Ocean Blue & Sand in Punta Cana is an excellent value for your money, I give it a 3 1/2 to 4 stars! When you arrive at the resort, the bell hop will take your luggage and give you a claim check. Then you proceed to the right for check-in, everyone that is in your room has to be there when you check-in to receive their wristbands. (more…)

The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas are on a great stretch of North Kaanapali Beach. Starwood offers a free shuttle between its properties, which could be used to get to Whaler’s Village. The Westin Maui Resort & Spa was built in 1980 in the beach community of Kaanapali. The resort is located in the middle of the beach walk next to the upscale shops and restaurants of Whaler’s Village. The resort has an awesome beach and pool area with multiple slides and waterfalls. I like the Occidental Grand Aruba. The lobby area is very modern with marble floors and contemporary fountains. There are several shops in the lobby as well as the guest services desk (same place where you would make dinner reservations), a tour desk, the lobby bar (with nightly live entertainment), and the entrance to the casino. I was very impressed with Beaches Negril Resort & Spa. It is located on a beautiful stretch of white sand on Seven Mile Beach in Jamaica. Despite having such a large beach and pool area, there are only 210 rooms. There are 5 restaurants (including 1 adults-only) along with the three available at Beaches Sandy Bay. (more…)
Couples Swept Away in Jamaica is a beautiful resort. As the name refers to, the resort wants to sweep you away from the stress of your daily life. As with Couples Negril, the lobby is wired for Wi-Fi, and there is free internet access in the lobby. The lobby has the same Caribbean sea foam green color scheme as Couples Negril. (more…)
