Couples Swept Away in Jamaica is a beautiful resort. As the name refers to, the resort wants to sweep you away from the stress of your daily life. I just got back from the newly branded Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana. My thoughts are this…….very big (1700+ rooms) but plays much smaller, giving you the feel that the resort is not crowded at all. We were there when they were at 100% and you would never know it. The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana is more beautiful now than the last time I was out there. Everyone is very friendly at this property. The casino and night life are great for any age and the beaches are fantastic with white powder sand that never gets hot on your feet. (more…)

We stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun on April 15-19 for our anniversary and 4th annual trip to Mexico with our group of friends. I have stayed at other Secrets and Dreams properties and this is by far the best. This beach was the most beautiful I have been to. (more…)
The entrance at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso is grand in everyway and includes an indoor garden that reminds me of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. All the marble and carpeted hallways leading to the rooms are located inside…something that is unique to most if not all the Riviera Maya resorts. All the rooms are Junior Suites and are very nicely done with good quality furnishings and the bathrooms have a separate toilet room, shower and upgraded amenities. (more…)
I stayed at the Zoetry Casa del Mar Los Cabos on May 24 - 27, 2010. It was a very relaxing stay. The rooms were beautiful and the service was excellent. The food is very healthy and tastes great. The Rosewood Mayakoba in Riviera Maya was one of my favorites. Every room is a suite with a living room, huge bathroom with large round tiled tub for 2, and a glass walled shower with a back door leading to an outdoor shower. I just returned from a sailing on Star Clipper and wanted to stay in Barbados for a couple of days before boarding. I had a group of 5 with me, and found hotel prices for the accommodations we needed to be very expensive. I recently visited Zoetry Agua Punta Cana on January 16-19th, 2010. Starting with the ride from the airport (50 minutes), we could not have asked for a nicer vehicle or better Amstar staff to travel with. We escorted a large group of 130 people to the Riu Palace Pacifico in Riviera Nayarit on January 3-10, 2010 and the group said this was the best trip ever. The staff could not have been more attentive to everyone at the resort. I watched in amazement every day as the servers at the restaurants, the activities staff by the pool and in the theatre, the front desk personnel and of course the housekeeping staff keeps the resort looking immaculate. I have personally stayed at Paradise Village twice and think it’s a great hotel for families, especially large ones. Today it’s so hard to find a resort which will guarantee adjoining rooms or accommodate more than four guests; here is the perfect solution! (more…)
