My last trip to Maui was amazing with a trip to Haleakala volcano, a sunset cruise on the Teralani, and a beachside party with friends, old and new. But the highlight was by far my accommodations at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua. Starting the day off with a full breakfast buffet, the omelet guy brought a smile to my face every morning with his quick wit and splendid concoctions. Shopping and visiting with local elders, gave me a better understanding of Maui’s culture and filled my bag with unique tropical gifts. Afternoon cocktails at the beach or pool bars set the tone for the evening before a delicious meal at Kai Sushi or the Banyan Tree. Then a nice glass of cabernet sauvignon and a warm soak in the tub allowed for an easy slumber on the engulfing king size bed.
