We arrived at Divi Little Bay on St. Martin (French side) this winter; we were returning for another stay. The resort has an unhurried pace - check in was a little slow. The resort is currently enhancing one of their three pools and resurfacing walkways; the construction (scheduled for completion in May) is blocked off and not disturbing in any way. The beach is still beautiful and mostly secluded. On a couple of days cruise passengers also visit the very popular beach although it never seemed too crowded. The rooms are also being upgraded which is good. The beach, view and location is what brings us back time and again. You are minutes from Phillipsburg for shopping and close to the casinos for gambling.

The relaxed pace extends to the restaurant; the food is very good and you should allow at least an hour when dining. The strong drinks are served much faster!

While in St Martin/St Maarten you should go out to dinner off property as much as possible. This is the gastronomic capital of the Caribbean and there are so many great restaurants. Do note many establishments only accept the Euro -sometimes the exchange is not in favor of the US dollar.
