My room at the Vallarta Palace, Puerto Vallarta was beautiful with a huge Jacuzzi tub in the room. The mini bar is stocked and they have nice bathroom amenities. Decor throughout the hotel is the new minimalist style. The staff was very friendly and service oriented. A huge perk is there are free long distance phone calls to the U.S.

I thought the Italian restaurant was excellent. The buffet looked very good, but I thought it tasted only average. I didn’t think the food at the snack restaurant near the pool was very good.

I loved the beautiful pools. There were plenty of lounge chairs. The beach had plenty of lounge chairs with palapas. The beach itself is ok, the sand is not bright white and the sea at that time was a little murky. But I think most guest would love hanging out by the pool. I would rate this a solid 4 star.
