Valentin Imperial Maya Resort & Spa
I had the opportunity to stay at the Valentin Imperial Maya in Riviera Maya, twice in the last two years. It is a beautiful resort offering excellent gourmet dining in all of the restaurants. You don’t need a reservation for dinner, but if the resort is busy, so you may have to wait to be seated.
We were greeted with a glass of champagne and a wet towel upon arrival. I thought that this was a nice touch. The lobby at the Valentin Imperial Maya Resort & Spa is cool and impressive.
The food and service was excellent in all of the restaurants. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and lunch in the main buffet or the beach restaurant was great!
The resort is very spread out, so at times there is a lot of walking to do to get to certain sections of the resort. The rooms are very well appointed with beautiful bathrooms that have double sinks, a shower and Jacuzzi tubs. The hotel rooms also come with a flat screen TV that have adult channels and Wi-Fi. Room service is offered here and is pretty reliable and your refrigerator is filled daily with soft drinks and beer.
The beach is pretty nice here; however there isn’t much shade on the beach. The pool is amazing and very large with plenty of chaise lounges. Get there early to get a chaise lounge as they do fill up quickly. There are two swim-up bars that offer you top liquor and good service.
The shows are “resort Caribbean” fare. All in all, I would give this resort a five. The best part, adults only!! Worst part, no shelter from the rain.
