We just returned from our vacation of “Fun & Sun” at the Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay. We arrived around 1pm and Natasha greeted us with a warm welcome, a cold Caribbean Punch was offered and advised our room was ready. ROOMS: We had a spacious one-bedroom suite in Tower B. Sunset Beach continuing their updates and remodeling of rooms - decor has been updated in most of the rooms. Rooms are intimate in size, with through-the-wall air conditioning, and cozy bathrooms.

GROUNDS: Lovely & well maintained throughout the day.
POOLS: Lazy River & Pirates Water Park was very nice, my husband enjoyed it! It is near the Beach Grill, Teen Center & Club Mongoose area. There is music children will enjoy in the covered stones area. There is a large swim-up pool bar which was cleaned daily.

BEACH: Small and well maintained, facing a bay. The beach is quiet with no vendors - perfect for reading, snoozing and sunbathing. There are limited numbers of umbrellas, and many guests arrive as early as 7am to claim chairs for the day.

BARS: Lobby bar is open and airy; the pool bar well staffed - JACKIE was always smiling!

FOOD: La Bella Vita (Italian Restaurant) has very good food & service. Pimento (Jamaican cuisine) was good with very spicy entrees. The Beach Grill was okay, offering cooked-to-order dishes or buffets with a wide variety of cereals, fruits, cheeses, etc. The Grill is very popular - there is often a larger turnout creating longer waits.

SPA: Great & reasonable! The room had featured subtle lighting during and after the treatment. There is a table set up in the lobby where the spa menu is offered to entice you to book treatments.

NIGHTLIFE: An American “Oldies” band played for three hours on Friday night - many guests were dancing and singing along.

INTERNET: Access is available for an additional fee.

STAFF: Always smiling & very friendly.

I found Sunset Beach Resort to be a good three-star resort. Thank you Mr. Eaton & your entire staff - see you next year!
