My husband and I took our honeymoon to Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa in December. It is a very romantic and luxurious resort as well as fun and exciting. Antigua was the perfect spot for our honeymoon. Our room was beautiful, starting with our own Jacuzzi and separate shower, a large flat screen TV, our own mini bar stocked with wine, champagne, and other liquors, as well as, soda, water, and juice that were restocked daily. The room itself was very large and had a private patio with an ocean view that was just beautiful to sit out on and have breakfast.

The food there is excellent and they have such a wide variety of cuisines to choose from. The staff was fun and made our trip so much more memorable. We had such a blast with the entertainment staff as well as the bartenders. Antigua is such a beautiful and friendly place to visit.

An exciting excursion that I recommend is a day trip on a Pirate Cruise. It looks just like a real pirate ship, equipped with a plank and rope swing that we could use to jump into the blue Caribbean water. They provided delicious Rum-punch and steak dinners for us, as well as, a snorkeling tour over an actual ship wreck and then a climb up to the top of a large hill that had ancient forts at the top. It was such a great way to explore the island and the experience was unforgettable.
