Sandals Dunn’s River Villaggio Golf Resort & Spa
We just got back from the Sandals Dunn’s River Villaggio Golf Resort & Spa in Jamaica. At Sandals we were upgraded to butler category which was wonderful!!!! It’s nice to be spoiled and not have to think while on vacation. Service in the whole place was outstanding!!! Sandals Dunn’s River is just the right size. The rooms and views of the pool and beach were gorgeous. The pools were outstanding and the beach was nice; not small but not crowded.There isn’t a long walk to get to the beach and there are beach cabanas which were to die for and priced reasonably. They actually had a queen size mattress raised under a thatched hut and two other sun lounge chairs. At the Sandals Dunn’s River Villaggio, breakfast and lunch snacks and drinks are available all day!!!
There is a nice piazza area with wood fire pizza, roasted cashews, ice cream, and snacks to eat. Also there are many great sit down restaurants to choose from at the resort. A lot of activities if you wanted to be busy –if not– lots of quiet & relaxing areas! Such as their spa, which was nice.
Does it get any better than this!!!! Yes, our butler had a hot bubble bath in our Jacuzzi tub complete with champagne and Rose petals waiting for us!
We also got a chance to tour the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios Beach & Villa Resort while staying in Jamaica. The Sandals Grand Ocho is a nice property. If you are a golfer and love the pool and spa the manor size is for you. The villas are beautiful and many of them have private pools.
The Sandals Grande Ocho Rios pool on this side has a great ocean view but it is across the street from the beach; however they transport you to both sides either by jitney or golf carts.
The Riviera side or beach side has smaller pools and some villas have pools but not the Grand Sandals style pool on this side.
There is a small beach with a nice pier restaurant for dinner. Valentino was a great Italian restaurant with great service that overlooks the water. The rooms and villas are going under renovations on both sides but you would never know it, no noise or hustle and bustle! We saw some of the finished products which were beautiful!!!
Stay at one—- play at both—- free transportation between them!
