Riu Cancun
In my 23 trips to Mexico including 8 to Cancun, I found the Riu Cancun to be my favorite resort. Cancun and the Mayan Riviera are my favorite destinations in the world. You’ve got the Caribbean water and white sand beaches plus the cultural highlights of the Mayan Ruins. The Riu Cancun is a fabulous hotel. My husband and I stayed there recently, and it has become a favorite of ours. The location is great. We love being right downtown, but also right on the beach. The restaurants and food are excellent, I especially enjoyed the coconut ice cream and chips and guacamole by the pool. The views from the ocean front property are breathtaking. Just sit out on your balcony and enjoy the turquoise water. Perfect for someone looking for an upscale property in the heart of downtown Cancun near all the nightlife.
