GOGO Vacations

Occidental Grand Punta Cana

It is well worth your while to upgrade to the Royal Service at the Occidental Grand Punta Cana. The Royal Service area is a little oasis within a huge resort. The lovely rooms surround a small swimming pool with fusion music piped in at a low decibel. It is not a pool for laps, but for a refreshing dip when you want to get off the lounge chair. There is a special section on the beach for this segment with better lounge chairs with cushions.

There are two major attributes to this Royal Service upgrade. The first is the location. The rooms are a moment’s walk to the ocean and some of the rooms may be ocean view, but it isn’t that important. The long walk experienced on some of the major hotels is far from the beach - sometimes a 15 minute walk. This exclusive section is right there.

The second attribute is the excellent quality of food offered in the restaurant, only available to Royal Service. The menu was constantly changing, the service attentive, the food beautifully displayed and the restaurant small. The view to the water from the huge window was breathtaking. I tried one of the specialty restaurants but quickly returned to this gem.

Outside from the restaurant is a small shaded patio where you can dine “al fresco” for every meal. The aura of this little oasis is lovely, especially nice for adults looking to getaway and renew. Of course, you have access to the entire hotel. Free internet access is also available. To book your perfect Dominican Republic vacation, please contact the travel agent below!
