Occidental Grand Punta Cana
The Occidental Grand Punta Cana Resort is a well maintained and very nice family friendly resort. This is a very clean resort with well kept grounds. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. A friendly “Hola” greeting is offered from the gardener to the manager every time you meet someone.
There are extensive pool and beach activities offered throughout the day and shows each evening. The entertainers are professionals who can be seen practicing a lot during the day. There is a nice children’s program offered with a children’s playground and pool available. Connecting rooms are available for large families or privacy for smaller families.
The “Michael Jackson” show was very good. I am not a music video fan but apparently “Michael” successfully recreated some of the video moments judging by the reaction of the audience at different times.
Reservations are required for the ala carte restaurants and there was no problem making reservations. There are buffets offered for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a brick oven pizza and taqueria for dinner and late night snacks. The brick oven pizza is really good.
While at the Occidental Grand Punta Cana, expect large pools, a great beach, cleanliness, friendliness, hospitality, good shows and great value.
The Occidental Grand Punta Cana is a wonderful family friendly resort which also caters to singles and couples just needing a great getaway vacation!
