I stayed at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas back on October 25-27th. After landing in Las Vegas, I checked in at the registration desk at the airport at 8:30am, booked the round-trip airport shuttle from them and was on my way. Upon arrival at the hotel I went straight up to my room. There was no need for me to stand in that line in the lobby since I already checked in at the airport.

I was upgraded to a King Bungalow Suite and all I can say is ….WOW! The room was awesome. Huge bathroom, wet bar, mini-fridge, safe, king size bed on one side of the room with sitting area on the other divided by the entertainment center with swiveling TV. The room had two HUGE floor to ceiling windows that overlooked New York, New York and Excalibur. But the best part was the bed. The pillow top mattress was incredible. The maid service was great; they came twice a day!The elevators are divided into different elevators for a range of floors. The elevator for my room, 14th floor, served floors 13-20, which was quite expedient.

The pool area at the MGM Grand is quite large. I would’ve liked to have seen the backlot pool and river but unfortunately it was closed for the winter. The available pool areas were more than adequate with bar and snack service nearby and towels were provided.

The food court was great and quite accessible. The monorail was awesome, even if it was a bit of a walk from the strip to most of the monorail stations. There are LOTS of other dining options that I didn’t take advantage of, but everyone seemed very happy with them.

At the end of my stay there was no need to stand in line to check-out either. I just had to fill out the express check-out card and leave it in the box near the elevators and you’re done!

All in all, a great trip with a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again.
