Majestic Elegance Punta Cana
When you first arrive at the Majestic Elegance Punta Cana, you are greeted with a glass of champagne and escorted to a very impressive lobby. There are stairs and 2 elevators to take you to the lower level of the lobby where there is a beautiful bar, surrounded by several of the a la carte restaurants. This area is the hub of the resort during the evening hours.
The service was excellent and you can make dinner arrangements anytime during the day for the a la carte restaurants. Dinner was fine, the best being the French restaurant which served lobster every night.
The resort is beautiful, offering junior suites and 1 bedroom suites. The Majestic Elegance has a section that is for adults only and offers concierge service and a private swimming area. The beach is wonderful and we never had any problems getting a chaise lounge on the beach or at the pool.
I had the good fortune to be staying in one of the swim out rooms. It was located on the lower level and had plush chaise lounges on my patio. It was so convenient to walk out my patio doors and jump right into the river pool that snaked throughout the property. The rooms are very elegantly appointed with king beds, huge Jacuzzi tubs, sofa, bar, flat screen TVs and Wi Fi all located in a split level setting. The bathroom has double sinks and an amazing super large shower with multiple shower heads.
The resort is set up so that if it rains, you never have to walk outside and get wet. There is also shelter from the rooms all the way to the main building.
