Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso
I had the pleasure of staying at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso in Riviera Maya for four nights. Staying at the Iberostar Grand made it possible for me to say that I have stayed now in all of the Iberostar properties in the Riviera Maya. We were staying at the Iberostar Paraiso Del Mar when the IBerostar Grand was going up. The concierge arranged for my husband and I to do a walk thru before it was completed. So when the opportunity to stay here came up, I jumped on it.
Without a doubt it is the nicest property in the complex. It is absolutely beautiful. The resort has a large beach, a huge salt water pool, as well as the “quiet” pool, not counting the pool indoors at the spa…a first class spa as well. This property is adults only; you must be 18 to stay here.
Everywhere you look your eye is greeted by beauty. When you are in the salt water pool at the end away from the swim up bar, you are looking straight out at the beach and the sea. The colors are soft and warm, a light cream and a soft yellow for all the buildings.
There are plenty of lounges, private cabanas, and water lounges for everyone. Also there seems to be an unlimited amount of towels which can be had by all. The resort also gives you floats for the pool.
The people who work at the Iberostar Grand are some of the friendliest, hard working people I have met in Mexico. The resort is all inclusive and has 24-7 room service with a great menu. You can have lobster for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you wish. Also while you are lounging by the pool, drinks are brought right to you, as well as anything you would want from the dining room.
The rooms are large and have a large bathroom complete with robe and slippers and a Jacuzzi tub. The Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso has some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Each room has a balcony with a swinging chair lounge and a built in couch affair with lots of pillows. We stayed in an ocean front Jr. suite during out stay at the hotel. The ocean front rooms come with a butler and the golf carts can be utilized to take you anywhere on the resort, which is quite large. You can also eat in any of the other resorts within the Iberostar complex.
The light fixtures are so beautiful, many of which are made to look like flowers. You are surrounded by a lot of colored glass and lovely gardens and the service here is excellent. There are specialty restaurants and a wonderful buffet restaurant The food was plentiful and very good. We especially liked Tony’s restaurant. It had wonderful steak and fresh seafood platters, not to mention the to die for chocolate dessert.
The resort also has free diving and tennis lessons which are given by pro’s. All in all a wonderful place to stay.
