Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro
I stayed for 4 nights in April with my husband at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro in the Dominican Republic. This resort is top notch! The grounds are really pretty with a water theme. They even have an area with flamingos.
The food was really good and the cooks were very eager to please. We asked for lobster at lunch one day and they grilled it right up for us. We ate at the Japanese restaurant, the steak house (really, really good!) and the buffet. All were very good. For a change of pace we ate breakfast at the Iberostar Bavaro Suites and had dinner at the Mediterranean restaurant. However, we liked the dinners at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro better.
Our room at the resort was great and there was a mini bar that was refreshed every day. The
Jacuzzi tub can be set up by your personal butler. They will have it ready for you at the time you specify, a very nice treat. The balcony was larger than most and had a small sofa which was great for lounging.
The resort was only 30% full the week we were there, no problem getting a beach chair or bali bed near the pool.
