Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
Keep the Disney hotels, the Hyatt Grand Cypress is the best place to stay in the area. For over 20 years the Hyatt Grand Cypress has been the leading hotel in the Orlando area, and after a total renovation, completed at the end of last year, it is not going to lose its place anytime soon.
The rooms have been done in soft blues and beige, the bathrooms very high tech with new rainforest showers to relax you after a day at the parks. Although the rooms facing the pool are higher priced, all rooms will give you wonderful views. If you are lucky enough to get a corner room overlooking the lake and pool, you can watch the fireworks at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom, sometimes at the same time!!
The spectacular pool and garden areas are the best in Orlando, and will make you think you are in Hawaii. Waterfalls are everywhere, and there are plenty of activities for the kiddies.
I moved to Florida almost 16 years ago, and go to Hyatt Grand Cypress on the average of four times a year. I guess I like it there!!!!
