GOGO Worldwide Vacations

Grand Hyatt Washington DC

The weekend of Feb 20th, we stayed at the Grand Hyatt Washington D.C. on Capitol Hill. When we arrived at the hotel, we took the escalator down to the lobby to check-in. It has a five story atrium; elegant appearance. The clerks at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We are members of Hyatt Gold Passport (that gets you a complimentary daily newspaper and breakfast in the Club room).

We stayed in room 1134 that had a connecting room which would be great for families. Our room was furnished tastefully in contemporary decor. It had a king bed, flat screen TV, full bath, hair dryer, coffee maker, iron board, alarm clock radio & Its T Mobile HotSpot.

We went to Sequoias restaurant for dinner; there is also a restaurant in NYC. The restaurant is a 15 minute taxi ride from the Grand Hyatt Washington D.C. We ordered the salmon which was delicious. We walked around Georgetown and then took a taxi back to the hotel. The Capital looks beautiful at night, especially from the Thomton Room.

On Sunday we went to the Hyatt Club room located on the 11th floor for breakfast. For breakfast you have a great variety of breakfast items to choose from - Lox, bagels, cereals, yogurts, fruits whole and cut up and beverages.

With the help from the concierge, we took the metro to the National Geographic Museum. At the Museum we saw Terra Cotta Warriors, guardians of China’s first emperor - it was awesome. The Grand Hyatt gave us a late check-out (2:00PM).To book your perfect Washington DC vacation, please contact the travel agent below!
