El Dorado Royale
One of the joys of the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya is the proximity of the accommodations to the ocean line. Outstandingly close and beautiful with fantastic views of the blue Caribbean ocean. Fun nightly towel arrangements that would make any guest “fly” to their room to see their well anticipated surprise.
I always suggest this property to my honeymooners because of the privacy beach beds with full service. It’s also easy to notice the “salt water” bicycles available for guests to traverse this sprawling property at their leisure — complimentary of course.
I love the junior suites with the indoor Jacuzzi…..so romantic. Honeymooners can ask the concierge to do something special for you such as rose petals in the tub, etc. The décor is all Mexican and authentic with colors that are bright, nothing dark. Impressive is that the courtesy bar in each room is re-stocked daily without a “request” form. No hassles here. Floors are hard stone or marble and the bedding is dreamy with sheers above the headboard to add elegance.
The dining options are varied. My favorite restaurant is the Cocotal (International menu)…..and I am one of those people who enjoy a dress code that’s enforced. The restaurants are very careful to keep the code for the enjoyment of all the guests.
The El Dorado Royale has many pools to enjoy, but the infinity pool area is beautiful and gives the impression of floating away into the sea.
