Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa
Dreams Riviera Cancun in Riviera Maya is a brand new all-inclusive resort for families. It is a large resort that it is spread out so that you do not feel crowded. The decor is more South Pacific than Mexican, but it is done in a very upscale manner.
The lobby is all open-air, with massive wooden beams and unique ceiling fans, a waterscape running down the middle, and lots of overstuffed lounge chairs throughout.
I visited this resort with my spouse and we both felt it could definitely be enjoyed by couples (without children).
Many of the restaurants are upscale with ala carte menus. This is better enjoyed by couples only or families with older children. Families with smaller children will enjoy the buffets more, since smaller children normally do not enjoy the time it takes to dine in an upscale ala carte restaurant. There is even a specialty coffee/dessert cafe (all included). Dreams Riviera Cancun does a wonderful Mexican buffet on the outdoor cafe area, complete with local entertainers, tablecloth and napkin service, and of course wonderful margaritas.
The spa at the Dreams Riviera Cancun is amazing with lots of natural plants, waterfalls, and many private but outdoor showers in the treatment areas.
The staff was wonderful could not do enough for us. The beach area is very large and even has a floating trampoline in the surf. There are various activities and entertainment throughout the day and into the night. There is a separate children’s activities area, so there is lots to do for the little ones.
Again, this resort would be great for any family.
