While on vacation in Aruba in November, I did a site inspection of some hotels with a member of the Aruba Tourism Board. One of the hotels, I visited was the Bucuti Beach Resort, primarily an adults-only resort, although it does have limited accommodations for children.

It is a smaller resort, “boutique” style with lots of beach frontage. Two low-rise buildings: the Bucuti and the Tara. Breakfast is offered for both buildings, for all categories. You can have breakfast in the Tara Building Breakfast Room or at the Pirates Nest Restaurant. The Tara Suites are also located in the Tara Building. This building is completely non-smoking and all rooms have king-sized beds. Smoking only allowed on balconies of Bucuti Building, but not inside the room. Some rooms in the Bucuti Building will have king-sized beds, but most of them have two queen- sized beds. The amenities are the same for similar categories in both buildings: in-room safe, robes, microwave, coffeemaker, hairdryer, refrigerator–which also has a mini bar in it. The refrigerator is free–pay for anything used in mini-bar section. Outside each room is a doorbell and there are lights for “room service” or “do not disturb.”

The pool at the Bucuti Beach Resort is small but nice. The cushions on lounge chairs at pool and pool bar area are very comfortable and great for relaxing in. On Thursdays and Sundays, the resort offers “Movies on the Beach”. There is an open-air fitness center and Intermezzo spa services are offered in the Tara Building or you can have a massage right on the beach.

The Concierge desk is open from 8AM-8PM and the business center has free internet. WIFI connection is also available throughout the resort at no extra charge.

The Bucuti Beach Resort is very nice with a relaxing atmosphere which is why they have so many repeat guests. This resort is great for couples and it also caters to gay couples.
