I vacationed at Breezes Runaway Bay back in 1998 and then recently revisited the resort again in April 2009, which is now the Breezes Resort, Spa & Golf Club Runaway Bay. This resort offers activities for people of all ages (14 and older). The resort located in a great location called Runaway Bay which is halfway between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios in Jamaica.

I especially enjoyed the reef located right off the resort’s beach where you can go snorkeling. The resort offers all kinds of activities for all ages like free golf, PADI diving facility, tennis, gym, Circus school including flying trapeze and trampoline clinics.

The Breezes Resort, Spa & Golf Club has made several changes and upgrades that are very impressive with a real “Jamaican feel”. The property was running at 87% occupancy, which is a good sign. The lobby is fresh, cheerful and very welcoming. The staff was warm and friendly and eager to help with any request asked. The grounds were well manicured with beautiful foliage that was well maintained.

The rooms have been updated with flat screen TV’s, refreshed paint and the refrigerators in the new suite rooms are stocked with beverages. The suites also come with CD players and coffee makers. Breezes added lots of new room categories in 2006 with living room areas and private plunge pools. These rooms are located beachfront or in the tropical gardens. Every building area has its own small pool area in addition to the main pool that has pool bar.

Breezes Resorts offer “Free Weddings” and this is a wonderful property in Jamaica to have a Destination Wedding or honeymoon. The resort offers many locations like a beautifully decorated gazebo, on the beach or at the new wedding outdoor chapel located beachfront.
