Bougainvilla Beach Resort Barbados
I visited the island of Barbados in the fall of 2007, and we stayed at this resort.
It’s on the South Coast of the island, so the water is swimmable, and good for boogie boarding. But there are definite waves, it’s just not as strong of an undertow as the East Coast.
This resort used to be 2 separate resorts, then they acquired the resort next door, and now it’s all one big complex. There are 2 pools, one in each section, and 2 restaurants, one in each section.
Our room was on the ‘deluxe’ side of this resort. That is how you can tell where you will be staying, either the regular one bedroom and studio suites, or the deluxe one bedroom and deluxe studio suites.
Most rooms have oceanview, and all have balconies. The balconies are actually pretty big too, can fit table chairs, and lounge chair, and still room for 2-4 more chairs.
There is a swim up bar
They have a 2 bedroom split level beachfront suite that we seen, it sleeps 6, and it’s like a little split level apartment. Very nice! And if you have a couple families, this would be perfect, as the price point seemed good.
The kid facility really impressed me. It wasn’t super expansive or anything, it’s just that they stress all mentally stimulating activities, which means they have no TV and no video games. It was amazing!!! I love stuff like this!! It’s nice to know if you’re going to leave your kids for a couple hours, that they will be stimulated by something other than a television!
There is a 1/2 spa in the beauty salon downstairs.
Give me a call to book this or any other Caribbean vacation!
