Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa
I traveled with my husband and my 5 yr. old son to Turks & Caicos. The Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa has it all. If you can’t have fun here, you can’t have fun anywhere. We had room 603 in the Caribbean Village, ground floor, perfect if you have a stroller. This resort caters to families and children of all ages. This was my first time at the resort, so I was a bit overwhelmed when I got there. Beaches Turks & Caicos is 3 times bigger then Beaches Boscobel in Jamaica, but by the third day, I knew my way around. We did the character breakfast, where you get a chance to meet each character and get photos taken. They give you a goodie bag, as well. We did the Concierge Snorkeling trip (make sure you sign up ahead of time) which was fun. There are lots of free water sports on the beach - snorkeling, windsurfing, canoeing, and water biking.
I visited the spa one day for a Tropical Bliss massage. The prices at the spa were reasonable. I did not see anyone tipping at all and it was not expected. I enjoyed not having that pressure.
The food was fantastic, especially the Italian and American food. The Italian food was so authentic, I thought I was back in Sicily. The arinici (rice balls) at Gordon’s were excellent and the brick-oven pizza at Gordon’s or Bella Napoli was incredible. Even the hamburgers were great. Oh, and the ice cream at Bobby Dee’s (Pirate Ship) and the popsicles at the ice cream cart were a great distraction for my son.
They have a big water park or water parks. One for children under 5, about 4 water slides for the big kids and a lazy river. Oh, and they had several pools (3 of them are heated). AND the Adults-only Jacuzzi - yes, I liked that too.
They do have a kid’s camp (Camp Sesame), but my son was having too much fun with us to join. However, you could go to any of the events, just by signing up. They had a Sesame Street show every night and we could see them up close.
I especially liked how it was relaxed and there were several different things you could do throughout the resort. We didn’t feel like cattle. Each meal was relaxed. Everyone we met was friendly and my son made friends with others at the resort.
I would definitely go back again…perhaps in the fall.
