Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa has three separate villages that you can stay at, all connecting to each other. The new Italian Village is by far the best as it is the newest, (I believe it just opened in January 2009). This is the part of the resort where we stayed. However we were able to get a look at the other two villages as well (rooms and all).

 The Caribbean village is their original village. The building was there when Sandals first bought the property and it is probably about 30 years old. It’s been renovated many times since. The next village up from that is the French village. If you are looking for more peace and quiet, this is the village to go to. It is the closest to the newly expanded water park and kid zone, so for families with young kids, who still might need a nap midday and they are not in the kids camp, the French village would be a good choice. Most of the action (pool/people) is around the new Italian village.

There was beautiful decor inside the rooms. Granite counter tops, poster beds, bunk beds for kids and all rooms in the Italian village had 2 room suites. We happened to be there when Shaq O’Neal was there with his family, and he of course stayed in the ocean front villa in the Italian Village. Apparently this resort is his kids’ favorite resort and they go there often. I know of another friend who saw them there as well a few years back.

Overall I would say this is one of THE BEST family friendly, all-inclusive resorts out there right now. This resort boasts one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever experience anywhere. There’s a TON of activities for the kids to do, they will definitely not be bored between beach activities, water activities, Xbox Warehouse, DJ lessons, expanded water park, and the list goes on. The kids camp is free, the nursery is free and takes even young babies, and there’s plenty of quiet and/or relaxation time for Mom and Dad (spa treatments, walks on beach, adult only restaurant dining). Beaches really did think of everything, including adding the Sesame street characters to boot. I’d give it a strong two thumbs up if you are considering it!
