I just returned from a sailing on Star Clipper and wanted to stay in Barbados for a couple of days before boarding. I had a group of 5 with me, and found hotel prices for the accommodations we needed to be very expensive. We ended by staying at the Bougainvillea Beach Resort, on Maxwell Coast Road in Christ Church.

We had a nice two bedroom suite, one of 138, located over the pool with the ocean beyond. It had a full kitchen, large living area with a queen size pull out couch. It was on the third floor, so the view was beautiful. However there is no elevator.

The pool and swim-up bar was nice and there was also a small wading area for children situated just off to the side. The beach at the resort is beautiful.

We had two lunches and one dinner while staying at the Bougainvillea Beach Resort, all at Buoni Amici at the Waters Edge. The food was very good and priced fairly for an island resort.

I would suggest Bougainvillea Beach Resort in Barbados for families looking for a nice resort with a great beach at a good price.
