GOGO Vacations

Atlantis, Paradise Island

I just returned from an amazing, long weekend at the Atlantis. Four days is not enough to do everything and relax. This is an incredible hotel with rooms to fit any budget and taste. Think of this property as 6 resorts in one: Beach Tower, Coral Towers, Royal Towers, The Reef, The Cove, and the Harborside Resort at Atlantis. No matter which section you choose everyone has complimentary access to the beach, the lazy river, aqua adventure, the pools, and movies shown every night in the theater. And available for an additional cost they have activities such as, the dolphin cay, the sea lion experience, the amazing kids club, the game room, the Mandara Spa, and so much more.

I strongly recommend purchasing a meal plan. For those of you who think it is not worth the money, go to the Atlantis web site and check out the menu. If you are still not convinced, I would recommend upgrading to the Imperial Club in the Royal Towers for its perks.

During the weekend, I inspected rooms in each section. The lead in tower is the Beach Tower. This tower is closest to the beach, home to the teen nightclub, and has newly renovated rooms. The rooms are smaller in this tower, but are still lovely and all the rooms have balconies. More then 2 in the room can be tight. Rooms have either 1 king or 2 doubles. I strongly recommend booking the oceanview rooms. The terrace rooms have views of the roof and city.

The Coral Tower is next to the Beach Tower. The rooms have recently been renovated and you have a choice of either 1 king bed or 2 queen beds. Again, I recommend not booking the terrace rooms. The Coral Tower is a great location for those who don’t like a lot of walking. This tower is home to many of the restaurants, the library, the original lazy river pool, and the casino.

The Royal Tower is connected to the Coral tower via the casino and shopping area. The Royal Tower has two sections, the East Tower and West Tower. Most of the rooms have a French balcony unless you are on the 15th floor or above. The Imperial Club is located in the West Tower and you need a key to access this floor and the lounge. The biggest difference between the two towers is that you will need to walk outside to reach the West Tower. These rooms are closest to the Aqua Adventure Park, the Mayan Temple Slides, The Dig, the dolphin and sea lion experiences, and the spa.

The Reef Atlantis features Junior Suites and 1 Bedroom Suites. These rooms connect for a 2 Bedroom Suite. Although many of these are privately owned, they are all furnished the same. The Reef has a shuttle service available to take you to the other areas.

The Cove Atlantis features all oceanview suites. A unique feature of this area is a private adult’s only pool limited to Cove guests only. Private cabanas are available for an additional cost. Again 50% of the rooms connect for larger parties. There is a shuttle service available that will take you to all parts of the hotel.

The Harborside Resort has one, two, and three bedroom villas. This area has its on pool and is close to the Marina Village. There is a shuttle bus available to take you to the other areas of the hotel. There is no room service in this area.

Please call me to book this wonderful vacation and learn many insider tips.
