GOGO Vacations

Almond Beach Village

I visited the island of Barbados in the fall of 2007. If comparing this Almond Beach Village to the Beach Club, the Village is by far better!!!This is a great resort for all sorts of clientele, but my impression is that it is very very family friendly. There are 11 pools. Yes that is correct ELEVEN pools!!!

Plenty of space for families to be in the family friendly area, and couples to be in the adults only area.

Adult only pool is for sure separate from the kiddie pool area.

There are slides of all shapes and sizes in the family area.

The actual rooms are very similar to the Beach Club, however the Village just seemed newer and nicer. They use regular room cards, instead of the outdated room keys at the Beach Club.

I really liked this beach area. It’s large with lots of chair space, and you can walk around quite a bit.

They have a guest beverage area where you can help yourself to fountain soda, coffee and ice cream anytime.

We ate lunch here, and the restaurant was overlooking the beach, very nice, except for the birds. There aren’t a ton of birds, but the ones that do get in (as it’s open air) you need to watch out for the bird poop!!

On Tuesdays at the restaurant called ‘Enids’ they teach you how to cook local food.

Exchange priviliges at the Beach Club, and the upcoming Casaurina.

Free shuttle between the resorts as well.

It’s approx 20-30 minute drive between the Beach Club and the Village
