My family and I recently had the opportunity to experience a stay at the new Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach. It was a great “family” hotel offering larger rooms, with fully equipped kitchens. The facilities on premises offered a few good restaurants with great food. (more…)

I recently stayed at the Verdanza Hotel San Juan in Puerto Rico. Thinking that because of the great price, the hotel might not be as nice as advertised, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked into the hotel. We needed a hotel near the airport for a short overnight, so we decided to take a chance.

Ocean Blue & Sand in Punta Cana is an excellent value for your money, I give it a 3 1/2 to 4 stars! When you arrive at the resort, the bell hop will take your luggage and give you a claim check. Then you proceed to the right for check-in, everyone that is in your room has to be there when you check-in to receive their wristbands. (more…)

Being a travel agent, I like to review all of the accommodations that I stay in. The Riu Palace Riviera Maya is a beautiful resort with immaculate grounds and excellent food. During our recent trip to New York, we stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. My husband spent Thanksgiving there as a boy and was eager to revisit. This is totally top of the line old world luxury and elegance. The Copacabana Palace is truly a 5 star hotel located directly on Copacabana Beach. You walk out the door, cross the street and you are on the beach. Many of the top name entertainers stay here when they come to Rio de Janeiro. (more…)

Sandals Royal Plantation is located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica about an hour and a half from Montego Bay Airport. It is one of my personal favorite all-inclusive resorts, anywhere. Boasting old world charm from the moment you enter the lobby, you are met and checked in by very friendly butlers greeting you with a chilled towel and a chillier Mangosa (champagne and mango). Staying in Barbados for 10 days is the ultimate in relaxation, good food, superb shopping, and a great driver taking you to the more local places that most tourists do not get to see. Relaxing in Tabacon’s natural thermal springs is a unique experience. These springs range from 77 degrees to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The water flows by gravity creating the waterfalls and filling the swimming pools. You cannot imagine the sense of (more…)

I stayed at the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa in late October 2010 while in Honolulu for 3 nights. It was a marvelous, restful place to be as the room was huge, with a desk which had a beautiful arrangement of fruit and water on it upon my arrival-just what you need when you finally get to your destination …finally, you are THERE in your room. Located on the Atlantic shore, seven miles southeast of downtown Miami via the toll road, the Ritz-Carlton South Beach hotel is one of the best resorts in southern Florida, competing head-to-head with the more contemporary Mandarin Oriental Miami. The Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa is located about a half mile from Lewers Street away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The resort has 5 pools (including the “super pool” which is the largest in Waikiki and the Paradise Pool with 4 waterslides), 7 towers, 2860 rooms, a private lagoon, the widest sand beach in Waikiki and a private salt water lagoon (great for snorkeling and paddle boarding).
